Persoonlijk Proefschrift has a pool of enthusiastic and experienced designers! A limited number of these designers are also available as illustrators for our Extended cover option. On this page, these illustrators introduce themselves to you and showcase work they’re proud of. This way, you can see what each illustrator specialises in and choose someone whose style matches your requirements!
Our illustrators have a great deal of experience in designing thesis covers. However, their availability is limited. Depending on the illustrator’s schedule and your preferred delivery date, our coordinator will check whether your preferred illustrator is available. If this isn’t possible, you can always fall back on our Standard cover design.

“As a designer, I start by listening carefully – particularly to what lies between the lines. What is the essence of your research, and what suits you as a person? Thanks in part to my background in chemistry, with experience in research and hospitals, I can quickly get to grips with the subject matter. I then translate those elements into a suitable design. My designs are colourful, vibrant and created using a variety of techniques. From hand-drawn work and watercolours to photographs of cheerful African fabrics used for colour: nothing is too outlandish, and anything can form the basis for a striking image. Together, we’ll create a personalised design that perfectly suits both you and your research.”
