Flexibel, vlot, prettig in communicatie, en resultaat is prachtig. Wel vrij veel slordigheden waardoor ik het proces niet los kon laten, wat natuurlijk wel het idee is bij het uitbesteden.

I was really happy with the speedy service due to a serious time constraint on my part. The designer really worked hard to meet those deadlines. On the other end, lots of little things slipped through the cracks and some layout errors made it into the final thesis document.

Een prettige samenwerking met heldere communicatie, súper bereikbaarheid (in de kerstvakantie). Tara werkte nauwkeurig en vlot. Heel fijn om face-to-face te starten (teams) en vervolgens elke keer dat er mail was even te appen naar elkaar dat er een mailtje klaar stond, dat kwam de snelheid van het proces te goede.
I think we collaborated well and made some clear agreements before we started. The communication went smooth and feedback was incorporated as discussed (on both sides).

Ik vond het een erg prettige samenwerking. Karin heeft het voor elkaar gekregen om mijn ideeën over te brengen op beeld. Eigenlijk nog beter dan wat ik in gedachten had.
Het is erg fijn om met Anna samen te werken. Ze reageert snel, denkt goed mee en geeft zowel ongevraagd als gevraagd adviezen over de haalbaarheid van het design. Ondanks dat het om een spoedopdracht ging, heb ik voldoende bedenktijd gekregen, wat ik persoonlijk erg prettig vond.

Het was een aardige jongen die goed van start ging, goede intake en goede versie van sample chapter. Echter de 1e versie van lay-out/design van het binnenwerk zal vol met fouten, ik heb het bestand met 200 opmerkingen terug moeten sturen. En dit waren fouten die deels ook echt onnodig waren zoals titels van hoofdstukken waar de woorden verschillende grootte lettertype hadden. Ik heb dit wel aan hem teruggegeven en hij bood uiteindelijk ook de mogelijkheid om een extra correctie ronde te laten plaatsvinden, maar mijn veronderstelling dat door het inhuren van een designer mij veel werk uit handen genomen zou worden viel heel erg tegen.
Wiebke werkt snel, vaardig en is communicatief. Ze blijft ondersteunend tot en met eindresultaat.

Very clear communication and planning (also with the printer). Information I needed could be easily found on your website. Only thing to improve would be that sometimes I felt the work was done a bit sloppy, e.g. figures inserted on wrong place (multiple times), symbols not inserted correctly etc. I can understand this happens in the process, but I didn’t expect to have to re-read the thesis so many times to correct all the mistakes. I’m happy I wasn’t in a hurry and had enough time before my defense, but otherwise I’d have been annoyed with this. But again, I’m very happy with the result, would definitely recommend you to colleagues.

and to many (new) errors appeared after different correction rounds, therefore it became a too expensive, unpleasant and very time consuming process for me.

It was a pleasure to work with someone who is hard-working, reliable and always wanted to do her best.
Birgit always wanted to make sure that the layout was what I wanted. In my experience, she was a hard-worker, punctual and open to critical input. Overall, I am pleased with the communication process and yet there is still a room for improvement. For instance, we did discuss a lot of details when Birgit was working on the sample chapter except the line and spacing. The line and paragraph spacing looked different in the first proof compared to the sample chapter. Nonetheless, with her solution-focused approach, Birgit fixed the line and spacing according to my preference and the outcome looked perfect in the end.

however it was not completely clear to me that (minor) grammar changes including the homogenizing of table make up (such a p-value vs p value, was not included in the price. Of course, content of the text and tables is the responsability of the author, but this should have been more emphasized. The hours spend on correcting these (often minor) changes was not always very transparent in my opinion. Overall Mirelle was clear in the communication, fast and put-out a nice design. She also responded in weekends and evenings, which was very convienient given my busy schedule.

Het hele proces verliep vlot. Kort gezegd: Alex deed wat hij beloofde en deed dat helemaal goed en snel.
